It's a Jeep Thing: Axial's SCX24 2019 Jeep Wrangler JLU
YES!!! I mean...what do we have here? Setting aside my excitement for a moment, Axial has released a new addition to their SCX24 line; the SCX24 2019 Jeep Wrangler JLU (AXI00002T1/2). The SCX24 Deadbolt has quickly become my favorite small-scale crawler, and I'm thrilled to see this line of vehicles expanding.
With their latest release, Axial has taken the underlying chassis of the SCX24 and topped it with a new body, giving scale R/C enthusiasts something new to explore with.
The SCX24 Jeep Wrangler shares the same 5.2in/133mm wheelbase as it's Deadbolt sibling, but offers greater ground clearance for easier off-road navigation. Another subtle change between the two models is the use of one body pin for the front body post on the Jeep (vs two on the Deadbolt).
The hinged body setup is also carried over from the SCX24 Deadbolt, which I've found to be a great way to quickly access the internals of this tiny truck. As for power and performance, the rig's Dynamite 88T brushed motor and 7.4V, 350mah LiPo battery join forces to provide plenty of "go" for this machine. Whether your running on the trail, a rock bed, or your desk, you can certainly make any outing an adventure.
For those who like options, two colors are available for the SCX24 Jeep Wrangler, yellow or white. Each color option offers up a unique appearance package, making each rig easy to spot on the trail.
Axial SCX24 Jeep Wrangler Specs:
- Length: 7.8" (199.5mm)
- Width: 3.9" (99.5mm)

- Wheelbase: 5.2" (133mm)
- Ground Clearance:1.06" (27mm)

The price of the SCX24 2019 Jeep Wrangler is slightly higher than the SCX24 Deadbolt, but it still appears to be well worth the price in terms of performance and overall fun. $119.99 is the price tag for each AXI00002T1/2 model, with pre-orders available now.
